Rob Campbell Defends Dissertation!

Congratulations Rob, on successfully defending his dissertation!

Rob Campbell successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis, titled “Multi-scale structure-mechanics relationships in bimodal colloidal gels.” This work showcased a new theoretical framework for identifying and analyzing mechanically-relevant multi-scale structures in colloidal systems, using both simulation and experimental data. Rob identified edge-betweenness centrality (EBC) as a useful measure for identifying which structures contribute most to elastic mechanics and yielding in colloidal gels, and highlighted how bimodality alters these relationships and can be used to track and tune bulk mechanics.

Congratulations, Dr. Campbell, on this significant achievement and your contributions to the field! Wishing you all the best on your next endeavors!
